Shawn Kuruneru is a new comic artist who recently worked with Jeff Lemire on Fishflies issue #6 published by Image. He has illustrated short stories in Colonel Weird and Little Andromeda written by Tate Brombal for Dark Horse, and a short story written by Michael W. Conrad in the anthology Xino for Oni Press. He recently did a pin-up in issue #1 of The Enfield Gang Massacre by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips published by Image. His self-published comic Cave Grave was nominated for best english comic at the Montreal Comic Arts Festival.
In addition to comics, Shawn makes paintings that have been exhibited in galleries around the world. His artwork is in the collections of the Portland Museum of Art (Portland, Oregon), TheMetropolitanMuseum of Art, Thomas J. Watson Library (New York, NY), CELINE (Paris, France), RBC Art Collection (Toronto, Canada). Kuruneru currently lives in Montreal, Canada.
